We believe that the church's mission is to make disciples of all nations. To that end, we wish to extend the kingdom of God through worship, education, care of one another, discipleship and witness in proclamation and deed.
In our life together as a congregation, we have identified three core values:
Community is the work of God in our lives. It’s not something that we can accomplish on our own. It’s God who transforms us—who changes our thinking, who gives us a new heart, who is the King that teaches us kingdom ways of living. Our definition of community cannot stop at the church doors.
Having Global Perspective means that we are engaged also with the wider community and world concerns in our prayers and actions. Our engagement is “out there”—and it is also “in here” as a multi-cultural/multi-ethnic congregation. Caring for all God’s creation is a vibrant part of this global perspective.
To be Anabaptist means following Jesus, with believers' baptism as a sign of loyalty and allegiance to God's kingdom above any other nation because that’s what Jesus taught and how Jesus lived. It is a way of life centred on Jesus:
A faith that imitates Jesus,
that rejects violence and loves enemies,
that bears each other’s burdens,
that lives by values in contrast to the world’s,
that places loyalty to the kingdom of God
above allegiance to any nation.
