Kids Ministry
Kids Church meets most Sundays during the service time for kids age 3 to grade 5. Families are encouraged to sit together for the start of the worship service until dismissal time for kids approximately 15 minutes later. We are also offering an after school drop-in club for kids in grades 3-8 on alternate Thursdays starting April 14th from 3-4:30 PM. The drop-in requires a signed waiver for each child in attendance, which you can download here.
Community Service
Providing once-a-week breakfast at our local middle school in partnership with Youth Unlimited; leading worship periodically at Menno Home/Hospital; monthly Chai & Chat with Abbotsford Community Services; participating in various local and short-term service opportunities like the Gleaners, Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Store, Mennonite Disaster Service.
Connection Groups
Bible studies, book studies, Christianity and the Arts group, Family Fellowship, Emmanuel Seniors Fellowship, Blanket Making, Women’s Fellowship, and other group options.
Green Team
The Green Team encourages the church in creation care by inviting guest speakers; promoting composting and recycling, including an annual E-waste Recycling Sunday; and initiating our involvement in community gardening.
Wider Church and World Involvements
Refugee sponsorship, Mennonite Church British Columbia, Mennonite Church Canada, Mennonite World Conference, camp ministry, schools, relief and mission efforts around the world.
Worship
Sunday mornings geared for all ages with a mix of traditional, contemporary and international music; relevant and practical sermons; children’s features and children’s church. For what’s happening week-to-week, please see our Sunday details.
Vietnamese Christian Church
Thursday 7:00pm – Small Group & Prayer; Family Sport Night
Sunday 12:15pm – Noon Meal; 1:00pm – Worship & Inspiration
Youth Ministry
Grades 9 – 12: Worship, Service, Faith-talks, Fellowship, and Fun, Wednesday evenings and special weekend events.
Grades 6 – 8: Mini-Disciples, alternate Tuesday evenings
